The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president stated on Wednesday that during a recent debate, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal stated that he was willing to surrender Congress three out of seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
Sharad Pawar stated during a session of India Today Mumbai Conclave 2023, "I had a conversation with Arvind Kejriwal about Delhi seats once." Congress currently has no seats in Delhi. Kejriwal asked me to meet with Congress, saying that "out of seven seats, he (Kejriwal) was willing to give the grand old party three seats and resolve the issue."
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) now holds all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
Sharad Pawar made the stunning discovery while discussing the Enforcement Directorate's searches on several opposition politicians, the most recent of whom was AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who was arrested earlier in the day.
The NCP supremo further asserted that the federal government's crackdown will unite opposition parties to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
