On October 14, Ahmedabad, the site of India's epic World Cup match against Pakistan, will play home to a slew of celebrities. A musical celebration will take place soon before the start of the high-voltage encounter at Narendra Modi Stadium. The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has verified that the match's golden ticket holders - Sachin Tendulkar, Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan - will attend. On October 4, Sachin unveiled the World Cup trophy in Ahmedabad. THE POWER OF THE STARS Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Sachin Tendulkar (who is also the brand ambassador for the World Cup 2023), and Varun Dhawan are all expected to attend the high-octane game at Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday.
Arijit Singh, who was scheduled to play at the World Cup's opening ceremony but was canceled owing to "scalability issues," according to an official ICC spokeswoman, is anticipated to perform live on October 14, immediately before the match begins. Varun Dhawan will also be in Ahmedabad with his father, David Dhawan, to watch the India-Pakistan match.
Due to the high-profile attendees, additional security measures will be implemented. Over 11,000 policemen from the Gujarat Police, National Security Guard (NSG), Rapid Action Force (RAF), and Home Guard would be stationed at the stadium during the match, according to Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik. He added that security agencies will deploy upgraded security processes, including measures connected to "chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats" at the stadium for the first time.
"In addition to more than 7,000 police personnel, nearly 4,000 Home Guard personnel will be deployed to secure the stadium," Malik said during an official briefing. The NSG will also send three 'hit teams' and an anti-drone team. In addition, nine explosives detection and disposal teams will be deployed. The security structure would also include three Rapid Action Force companies, as well as 13 State Reserve Police (SRP) companies."
