A video that the star of "Mark Antony" posted on his Twitter account has sparked debate. Regarding the release of his movie in Hindi on Thursday (Sept. 28), Vishal made significant accusations in the video against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). He stated that in order to get a certificate for the Hindi version of his film, he had to pay a sizeable fee of Rs 6.5 lakh.
Vishal emphasised at the outset of the video that it wasn't intended to be a commercial piece but rather to explore his most recent theatrical movie, "Mark Antony." He mentioned prominent politicians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra's chief minister, Eknath Shinde, during his speech. He added that although his team had submitted an online application for a certification, a last-minute problem necessitated their personal presence at the CBFC office.
The accusations made by Vishal didn't end there. He continued by claiming that the filmmakers were forced to pay Rs 3 lakh for the CBFC screening and an additional Rs 3.5 lakh to get the required certificate. Additionally, he made note of a certain woman who was in charge of the transaction, indicating that such payments were usual. Vishal claimed that others would release their films in Telugu (dubbing) on the same day for which they had paid Rs 4 lakh when submitting their films for certification.
#Corruption being shown on silver screen is fine. But not in real life. Cant digest. Especially in govt offices. And even worse happening in #CBFC Mumbai office. Had to pay 6.5 lacs for my film #MarkAntonyHindi version. 2 transactions. 3 Lakhs for screening and 3.5 Lakhs for… pic.twitter.com/3pc2RzKF6l

On September 15, the movie opened in theatres all around the world. In the movie, the main actors play both the father and the son. Before the movie's debut, the theatrical trailer created enough buzz. The same day, a Telugu (dubbing) version of the comedy action drama co-written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran would be released.
Zee5 has already purchased the digital rights to the eagerly awaited Tamil film "Mark Antony" for a sizable sum of money—roughly 30–40 crores INR. It should be accessible on OTT platforms five weeks following its theatrical debut.
