The heating problems with the iPhone 15 Pro are caused by a fault in iOS 17, which Apple promises will be fixed by a software update

While introducing the iPhone 15 Pro at the Wonderlust event on September 12 of this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook referred to it as the most "Pro iPhone" ever. However, the phone's heating problems quickly made headlines after it went on sale on September 22. While some users complained that the phone became too hot to handle, others uploaded images after taking a thermometer reading on the device. It has been hypothesised that the titanium body of Apple's newly announced iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which have both had heating issues, is to blame. The business claims that an iOS 17 problem is to blame, though.

Apple discusses the heating concerns with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple revealed in a statement to CNET that they have found a few things that could cause the iPhone 15 to run "warmer than expected." The tech giant continued by mentioning that when you first setup or restore the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, they could get warm. It occurs as a result of "increased background activity." The business continued by saying that third-party software updates and a bug in iOS 17 may also cause the phone to heat up. Apple added that a software update will fix the iOS 17 flaw and help with the heating problem. The performance of the iPhone 15 Pro models won't be impacted by the software upgrade, according to CNET.

"Due to increased background activity, the device may feel warmer the first few days after being set up or restored. Additionally, we have discovered an iOS 17 bug that is affecting some customers and will be fixed in a future software update. Another problem is that certain third-party apps have received recent updates that are overtaxing the machine. The business told CNET, "We're collaborating with these app developers on changes that are being rolled out.

Changing the colours on an iPhone 15 Pro

Apple had previously stated in a support document that because the iPhone 15 Pro has a titanium body, a user's skin oil could momentarily "alter the colour" of the smartphone. But there is no need to panic because this transformation is reversible. Apple also disclosed how to return the iPhone 15 to its original appearance.

"The oil from your skin may momentarily change the colour of the exterior band for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The original appearance can be restored by wiping your iPhone with a gentle, slightly moist, lint-free cloth, according to the instructions.

Other iPhones with glass finishes and "material transfer" that occasionally might feel like a scratch were also mentioned by Apple. "With regular use, the textured glass of your iPhone may exhibit material transfer from materials like as denim or things in your pocket that come into contact with your phone. Although material transfer may resemble a scratch, it can typically be erased, the company claimed.

The A17 Pro processor inside the iPhone 15 Pro promises improved performance.
