Nushrratt Bharuccha Stuck In Israel After Hamas Attack, Actress' Team Says 'Unable To Contact Her'

New Delhi: Nushrratt Bharuccha of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' fame, who recently travelled to Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival, is reportedly stranded in the war-torn country. According to the latest rumors, the actress is stuck in Israel, and her team last communicated with her about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The horrifying news comes as a Palestinian terrorist organization entered Israel on Sunday, killing hundreds of people, kidnapping many, and injuring others in a surprise attack. On Saturday, Israel declared a'state of war' in response to the ongoing conflict with the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

According to reports, several Indians, including Bollywood starlet Nushrratt Bharuccha, are reported to be stranded in Israel. According to one of her team colleagues, Nushrratt traveled to Israel to participate in the Haifa International Film Festival and is now "stuck" and "untraceable." He noted that the last time they were able to contact her was at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, and she was safe in a basement at the time. However, for security considerations, the team did not provide much information about her actual location.

They also stated that they have not been able to contact her since then. "We are trying to bring Nushrratt back to India safely and hope that she will return soon," he went on to say.

According to another source, the actress is preparing to return to her homeland.

On Saturday, a full-fledged war broke out in the Gaza Strip between the Islamist group Hamas and Israel, killing at least 200 people. Aside from that, around 1000 people were hurt. According to the Israeli army, Hamas militants launched over 5,000 missiles from Gaza and kidnapped numerous Israeli troops near the border.

Nushrratt Bharuccha was most recently seen in the film 'Akeli,' which was released in theaters in August. The film, directed by Pranay Meshram, tells the story of a girl caught up in war-torn Iraq, attempting to return home amid the mayhem. Ironically, the film's plot has become a reality in her life as she has been stranded in Israel.

The 38-year-old will next participate in horror thriller titled 'Chhorii 2', which is the sequel to the 2021 released 'Chhorii'.
