New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor to examine the Mahadev online betting app scam, in which four persons from Chhattisgarh have been apprehended. According to reports, as many as 17 Bollywood celebrities, including Huma Qureshi, Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Sonakshi Sinha, have been investigated in connection with the case. They are being investigated for their involvement in or performance at Chandrakar's wedding in February of this year and the company's victory celebration in September of last year.

Kangana Ranaut, the queen of controversy, has now commented on it on Instagram stories, asking the celebrities to 'behave.' The actress who starred in the movie wrote, "This endorsement came to me almost 6 times over a span of one year, every time they added several crores to the offer to buy me but I said NO each time, look anymore, yeh integrity is not good just for your conscience anymore, yeh naya Baharat hai, sudhar jao nahi toh sudhar diye jaoge."

The company founded by Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal was based in Dubai. It allegedly used the online book betting software to sign up new users, generate IDs, and launder money via a tiered web of benami bank accounts.

According to digital evidence acquired by the Enforcement Directorate, Rs 112 crore was sent via hawala to an event management business, while Rs 42 crore was paid in cash for hotel bookings, sources disclosed last month. In connection with the online betting case, the agency conducted various raids in cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai last month, seizing assets worth Rs 417 crore.

Earlier this month, the agency stated that at least four people had been arrested in connection with the case.
