Locations Associated with Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Yadav in the Midday Meal Scam are Searched by ED

Tuesday saw eleven places raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with Rajendra Yadav, the state minister of home for Rajasthan. The mid-day lunch scam is related to the raids.



More than ten locations in Jaipur, Rajasthan, have been subject to raids, while officials from the central investigation agency are also conducting investigations in Behrod and Viratnagar.

In connection with the mid-day meal scandal, the Income Tax Department conducted raids on different properties belonging to Rajendra Yadav, the minister of higher education for Rajsthan, on September 7 of last year.

In connection with the suspected anomalies relating to mid-day meals, which benefit lakhs of pupils in the state's government-run schools, a bag-making plant, purportedly managed by Yadav's clan in his legislative constituency Kotputli, had also been searched.

Rajendra Singh Yadav serves as a minister in the state's Congress administration under Ashok Gehlot and is a member of the Rajasthan legislative assembly.
